History & Architecture

The Liberty Hotel occupies the former Charles Street Jail, a national historic landmark built in 1851. The 90-foot rotunda lobby and cell-block-style hallways preserve the original granite and ironwork. Guests receive complimentary champagne at check-in, a welcome that nods to the building's storied past.

Dining & Bars

The hotel offers five distinct food and beverage venues, including Clink, which serves seasonal American dishes. Scampo provides contemporary Italian cuisine in an elegant setting, while Alibi is a quirky cocktail bar inside the old jail's drunk tank. The Liberty Bar features an extensive wine list, and Catwalk is a guests-only bar with a dinner menu from Clink.
