Location & Beach Access

The Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa sits at the foot of Black Rock, a lava rock promontory on the northern end of Kaanapali Beach. Guests have direct beachfront access to one of the island's best snorkeling spots, where sea turtles, spotted rays, and hundreds of fish are seen daily. The hotel is a 10-minute walk along a paved beach path to Whaler's Village, which offers shopping, dining, and water excursions.

Pools & Recreation

The resort has a large lagoon-style pool with waterfalls and a waterslide, winding through multiple sections and a shallow children's zone. Three tennis and pickleball courts are available for guests, along with a fitness center. Daily activities include hula lessons, lei making, and scuba diving lessons, plus a nightly torch lighting and cliff diving ceremony at sunset.

Dining & Bars

Five on-site restaurants and bars include the Cliff Dive Grill, which offers American cuisine during the cliff diving ceremony. The Sandbar serves craft cocktails and local bites in the evenings. Oceanfront dining bungalows with customized menus are available for private meals overlooking the Pacific.

Spa & Wellness

The full-service spa offers oceanfront massages, body treatments, facial treatments, and couples massage packages. A fitness center, hot tub, and outdoor pool with sun loungers and sun umbrellas are on the property. Spa/wellness packages include body wraps and access to spa facilities.

Family & Cultural Activities

The resort provides a dedicated children's zone in the pool area and a kid-friendly buffet at the Coral Reef restaurant. Cultural offerings include hula dancing classes, Hawaiian music performances, and a luau held Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Complimentary lei making and a nightly cliff diver ceremony honor Hawaiian traditions.

“Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa commands a prime beachfront position, facilitating easy access to snorkeling right off the shore where marine life is abundant. The grounds and pool area are exceptionally well-maintained and contribute to a serene atmosphere, complemented by genuinely helpful staff who elevate the experience. While the rooms are comfortable and consistently serviced, occasional oversights like bird droppings on balconies detracted slightly from the otherwise stunning setting and attentive service.”
